Elementary Counselor

Amy Ball

I am a 2003 graduate of Missouri State University- Springfield where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education. I immediately began working at Fairview Elementary and, later, earned a Master of Science in Elementary Counseling in 2012. I completed my School Psychological Examiner Certification in 2015.

As the counselor for preschool through 3rd grade students, I assist students in learning the academic, career, and social/emotional skills and attitudes necessary to be successful. Mrs. Wade and I work closely to help meet the needs of all students. I am also the District Testing Coordinator, as well as, the Homeless liaison and Migrant liaison. I recognize and value the importance of family involvement and communication between the school and home. Middle School Counselor

Tabby Wade

I became a teacher in 1999, graduating with my Bachelor in Elementary Education from Southwest Baptist University. I then earned my Special Education certification in 2001 where I spent the next four years of my career working with these small groups at Fairview. In 2005, I was presented with the opportunity to move to a new position as an eighth grade middle school English teacher. I earned my certificate in middle school English soon thereafter and taught in that role for 14 years. Working with middle school aged kids is so intense and I felt that I wanted to do more. In 2016, I earned my Master of Science in Elementary Counseling through Missouri State University-Springfield.

I began my journey as a middle school counselor, 4th-8th grade, in 2019. The middle school counseling program at Fairview is designed to be preventative and developmental. I work with students helping in the areas of social/emotional needs, career awareness, academics, and coping strategies necessary to help students learn to be successful. I am also the Foster Care liaison and work closely with Mrs. Ball as we focus on the individual needs of Fairview students. I am passionate about what I do and I am always available.
